Quotes

“Until justice is blind to color, until education is unaware of race, until opportunity is unconcerned with the color of men's skins, emancipation will be a proclamation but not a fact.”

                 Presiden Lyndon B. Johnson

“The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, "The children are now working as if I did not exist."”
                                                                 Maria Montessori

  1. Jennifer, I chose Lyndon B. Johnson as one of my Educators. That's a very good quote which it holds true today.

  2. Jennifer--what a great quote regarding the work of a teacher. It should be the goal of all teachers to help children to become independent, self-sufficent individuals, ready to take on the world!

  3. The quote from Maria Montessori made me think about the class that I taught today. One of the things we talked about was how one of our goals for children should be for them to become self-regulators of their behavior. I think this is a great quote to go along with that!

  4. The LBJ quote is so sadly true. Discrimination is such a socially mixed up way to look at God's world and life in it.
